Noted local historian Dr Wayne Wood talks about his favorite neighborhood in the universe: Riverside! Wayne talks about the history of this eclectic area, the diversity of the architecture, our parks, shops and local, creative vibe.
Wayne talks about a passion project, the long and winding road that lead to the creation of RAM, the Riverside Arts Market.
We also talk about downtown Jacksonville and how the tragedy of the great fire of 1901 lead to the great triumph of a new style of architecture led by Henry John Klutho and his masterpiece, the St James Building which now, according to Wayne, is the most beautiful city hall in America.
