Veterinary medicine was a second career for Kara Burns. Kara left a good paying psychology career to pursue her life-long passion for veterinary medicine. From veterinary assistant to licensed veterinary technician (LVT), to founding the nutrition technician specialty. Veterinary practice, industry, teaching, author, editor, independant consultant - Kara has experienced them all. In complete humility, she expresses her desire to empower all members of the veterinary team and letting you know that you can have your dream career through courage.
