What is the key difference between a business and a company? CULTURE. A business is the interactions you do. A company is the living, breathing, sustainable thing that has a culture and it’s the human factor that turns a business into a culture and brings it to life.
On this episode of Go Go GROW, Charles McCarrick shares insights he learned in his journey as Founder, President and Chief Scientist of Micro-Ant LLC. In his book, “Lessons My Brothers Taught Me: How to Transform Your Personal Qualities into a Successful Business,” Dr. Charles McCarrick details his concept of Company CPR. This concept is the core and inspiration for his book and shares strategies for bringing your company back to life after missteps and crisis.
He also details his 4S Transform framework business leaders can use to grow their companies, not only when developing their strategy but when hiring talent and expanding their teams. We discuss in detail his 4S framework which includes salability, sellability, sustainability and scalability.
Throughout our conversation, Charles emphasizes the critical component of people. He shares, “If you're not collaborating then you're not performing as a team. If you're not performing as a team, what kind of culture can you possibly have? And if you don't have culture, you don't have a company.”
