About Brittany (in her words)

My story is a complex one, with more life experience than I ever dreamed of having. A difficult childhood left me ill equipped to process the difficult things that had happened to me. For years, I turned to addiction and an eating disorder as I had underdeveloped coping skills and a lack of sound guidance. Years of work on myself found me able to cope in healthier ways, but still chasing fleeting fulfillment. My parenting journey led me through miscarriage, parenting children with a rare genetic disorder and the diagnosis of my neurodivergence which left me having to re-parent myself in order to parent my children effectively. Ultimately, becoming a foster parent, taught me the importance of learning about ourselves through our past experiences and helped me to develop tools to help myself cope. In this discovery, I have been able to find consistent fulfillment within my own self-connection and am now teaching others how to do the same. I can be found helping parents in my community through my private practice, Your Feeding Friend LLC, as a Registered Nurse and Inclusive Infant Feeding Educator (Board Certified in Lactation).
