Instead, we will discuss our thoughts on the effect this story has had on the romance genre and its impact on us as readers. We would also like to express that we do not recommend this book as a romance read, and would caution against reading it for entertainment purposes. While fictional, the themes expressed in this book are, unfortunately, a reality for many people today.
