In this spicy reimagining of a holiday classic (The Nutcracker), We follow Clara and Louisa, two sisters in their 20s, who find themselves on a whirlwind adventure – full of sugary delights and creatures of the night.

At the behest of their late father, Clara and Louisa move in with their godfather Mr. Drosselmeyer, a strange and recluse inventor with a house full of wooden dolls, animatronic servants, and other oddities. But when a toy soldier suddenly comes to life from a drop of Louisa's blood, they learn that things are not as they seem. The toy tells them he's actually a Fae prince, captured and cursed by their godfather, Lousia and Clara decide to help, and portal to his world in search of an ancient magical pond.

Prince Lir, the Fae prince, needs Louisa's blood to prevent returning to his wooden form, but the more time she spends with the devastatingly handsome, cold Prince, the more she begins to doubt their decision to help. But the more cold he gets, the more she wants him to whimper her name.

Clara is captivated by the beauty of the faerie and wants nothing more than to sit and paint it with her artistic eye, til she meets the delicious Sugar Plum fairy himself, Fin, and immediately gets swept off her feet (literally). The attraction is instant, but can she trust him enough to explore her not-so-tame sides that she keeps hidden from the world, or will she be just another notch on his candy cane post?
