Wisdom from Dr. Genie Bishop, a 1981 Oklahoma vet grad. Veterinary school admissions were quite different in the late 1970’s, especially for women. You may be shocked to hear Dr. Bishop talk about her experience being a female veterinarian over time. (I was, so you can watch my agast facial expressions over on YouTube). https://youtu.be/YFezdoViEPc
Her admissions panel gave her a big responsibility to give back to the profession, and she took it seriously. She has a fascinating career journey and currently, her role at Royal Canin is spent dedicated to improve the mental wellbeing of those in the veterinary profession.
