I’ve mentioned a few times on previous episodes about how freight has gone mainstream.

But there’s still so much of the logistics process that I don’t fully grasp yet. And the maritime silo is one of them.

By definition, the maritime industry is “everything connected to the sea or waterways throughout the world--especially in relation to navigation, shipping, and marine engineering."

Which the definition itself doesn’t strike any level of excitement to everyday people---but it should.

Because this interview with Kevin Naakao is such an interesting dive into that world!

It’s one of those interviews that as soon as the show was over, I was hype because Kevin was able to break down a complex industry into stories about pirates, fishermen, satellites, and how 90% of all goods travel via ship.
